Cisco 2500 IP Camera; get screenshot command

Hi there,

I have been working with Axis IP Cameras, but for a new project we are going to use Cisco IP Cameras (Cisco 2500 IP Cameras).

Axis IP Cameras offer serveral HTTP commands in order to get current image (jpg) or start a live video stream. Example: http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/dev/cam_http_api.php#api_blocks_jpeg_mjpg_jpeg_request

I am looking for a way to do the same with this Cisco IP Camera. So just a HTTP request to the IP Camera to get a current screenshot as response. Does anyone knows if this is possible?

Thanks in advance

Michiel

try the following to see if they work

http:///img/video.mjpeg

http://192.168.0.99/img/snapshot.cgi?size=3&quality=1

If it works play with the size and quality values.

Let me know if i'm on the right track?

Re: Cisco 2500 IP Camera; get screenshot command

The first links does not shows anything (page is requesting for a long time)

The second link shows a 404-error.

Is there an configuration setup/webpage for the snapshot cgi control? I am looking for a simple HTTP command/url to receive a current snapshot of the live video.

I hope you can provide me with the right info. I have been searching for a while without success.

Same here... The MJPEG link works but the snapshot URL doesn't.

I was unable to find the IPC-2500 API guide. I did find the API guides for the cheaper camera's. Strange...

I'm also looking for more URLs:

- snapshot with size & quality

- mpjeg stream with different size (without changing the default settings in the camera)

Cheers
