Cisco 3420,3422 IP/TV server

Our local school just inherited a 3420 and 3422 broadcast server that appears in good order. In searching the model it appears that these require a 3410,3412 control server and a 3430,3431 Archive server, respectively. Would we be able to stream mpeg encoded content without the Cisco control and archive servers?

Can we use a different brand server where our content resides and go thru the Broadcast server?

thanks for any help.

Re: Cisco 3420,3422 IP/TV server

I am new to this forum, although I go on some others.

I posted the above query sept 14th and have had no replys. I am wondering if either the Cisco hardware is older then all of you out there or no one remembers it. Please someone help! or direct me to??
