Hi,
i am facing problem cisco ATA 186 ivr, i can't hear the ivr menu on pressing the led button on top of the ATA,my phone line is connected with line1, is there any way to know the ip address of the adapter. Hope someone will help in this issue.

Depends on whether you're plugging the ATA into a Cisco switch, but if you are, run the command 'show cdp neighbour detail' on the switch it's plugged into and it should show you the management ip address of the unit.
Otherwise take a look at your DHCP Server and see if there's any registrations for the MAC address of your ATA.

Hi,
I was doing some research on ATA IVR and came across this Post. I had been into the same situation what I do is simply connect my PC back-to-back with ATA Ethernet port, run a Sniffer (Ethereal or wire-sharK). A capture of few seconds will show the Arp broadcasts from ATA and you can see the assigned IP Address.
