We currently have an Asante 3524 switch used for video editing, using Avid Express pro.
Video editing works fine on this switch but when we put the workstations and Server on the Cisco 3560, we then get problem when playing the video in reverse or rewinding a video. It will play 1-2 seconds then stop and play again for a few seconds, this just keeps happening on in reverse.
Tests with the Asante switch show there is a constant network load of about 70Mb, but when using the cisco, its a bit of a spiky graph going from 70Mb to 30-40Mb throughput.
The workstations are editing a video on a server connected at 1Gig.
There aren't any errors on any interfaces, and we have tried increasing buffers, but that had no effect on the performance.
