dial-peer preference fail over time?

hi.

I do below configuration in a (C) router.

A Router and B router was connected

the same PBX(number 5555).

A(1.1.1.1) ----------|

|-(C)

B(2.2.2.2) ----------|

(C) router configuration.

dial-p 1 v voip

destination-p 5555

sesion target ipv4:1.1.1.1

preference 0

dial-p 2 v voip

destination-p 5555

session target ipv4:2.2.2.2

preference 1

1.1.1.1(A) and 2.2.2.2(B) is not same router.

when i configure other dial-peer for same number(5555),

when (1.1.1.1) link was down,

after 13 second, call forward through

Link 2.2.2.2.

is this correct that fail over time is 13 seconds?

and when called to the number of 5555,

ringing done in the 13 seconds continually.

is this normal symptom?

Re: dial-peer preference fail over time?

You can change the timeout for a failed voip/h.323 call:

http://cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_1t/12_1t2/feature/guide/dtcfgtim.html

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
