DVR (Digital Video Recorder) - Cisco 8652

My cable company tells me that I should be able to copy video/audio recordings from the Cisco 8652 DVR (provided by the cable company) to an external hard drive.  Does anyone know how I can go about doing this?  The Cisco 8652 DVR does have a USB connection.  Thanks.

Doing a quick Google search

Doing a quick Google search there are many results (especially in the AVSForum) which say that if you want external storage connected to your DVR, then, instead of USB, you will need to use an eSATA connection (Refer to page 4 of the User Manual).  Note: this also depends on your service provider supporting that functionality.
