GW is not registering to GK !

Hello,

My Gateway do not register to my GK, what can be done ? (Netmeeting registers)

Here is my config:

On GW

h323-gateway voip interface

h323-gateway voip id gk.domain ipaddr 1.1.1.1

h323-gateway voip h323-id gw.domain

h323-gateway voip tech-prefix 2#

On GK

zone local gk.domain domain

zone subnet gk.domain 1.1.1.0/24 enable

zone prefix gk.domain 1*

gw-type-prefix 2#* gw ipaddr 1.1.1.2 1720

no shutdown

I have tried with a Static alias as well...

but it still is not working.

GK-2600-12.22XB3

GW-3810-12.07XK2

I will appriciate any advice you can give,

Thank you in advance.

Often times complex troubleshooting issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, it’s often difficult to do so for this type of issue.

To utilize the resources at our Technical Assistance Center, please visit http://www.cisco.com/tac and to open a case with one of our TAC engineers, visit http://www.cisco.com/tac/caseopen

If anyone else in the forum has some advice, please reply to this thread.

Thank you for posting.

Re: GW is not registering to GK !

On the GW the command GATEWAY is missing!

Do gw(config)#gateway

then exit

Hi,

Please take a look at the url:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/788/voip/voip_gw_gk.html

It have a sample configuration for gateway to gatekeeper registration.

Re: GW is not registering to GK !

Try this..

On the GK, remove the line "zone subnet....". (i think you might have to remove the local zone config line for that line to go away). if this still doesn't allow the GW to register, cut and paste the output of "debug h225 asn1" form you gateway. it should tell you exactly what is the reason of the registration denial. You can force a registration attempt on a GW using the global config mode command "gateway", so that u don't have to wait for the 60second default registration TTL.
