Hosted VOIP Service

I am trying to understand the hosted VOIP service. I understand how VOIP in the organazation works, with gateways, call manager and typically a WAN and PSTN connection from the gateway.

Now what I donbt understand is the hosted VOIP service..what sort of equipment does the service provider use, call manager still? A high level explanation would be most welcome.

Re: Hosted VOIP Service

Hi George,

Take a look at the Data Sheet for the Cisco Hosted Unified Communications Services here. CallManager is still used:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/vcallcon/ps8362/product_data_sheet0900aecd80670040_ps556_Products_Data_Sheet.html

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Michael
