Hi, in my list of missed calls, it shows XXX-XXXX and when I hit the dial softkey, it tries to dial it exactly as it appears. But it needs to have a 9 prefix to get an outside line. Anyone know how to automatically prepend the 9 or some way to make the incomming call look like it came from 9XXX-XXXX so that it dials out properly? Thanks in advance!

Under Service -> Service Paramter choose the Call manager service.
Click the Advanced button, and search for national prefix. In there add the 9.

Hi
There's a few ways to achieve this depending on whether you are running CME, CM with MGCP on the GW, or H323 on the gateway - which is your scenario?
Let me know any I'll help you out.

I'm running CM 4.0(2a)sr1 with MGCP gateway (3745- IOS 12.3a(10).
I'm very interested.
Please post your suggestions.

hi,
you can add prefixes for your incoming call type under:
ccm service parameters--> Advanced --> National, International, Unknown number prefix.

If I add the 9 in the national prefix, will this affect all of my outgoing calls ?? (ex: users will no longer be required to dial 9) ??

Would appreciate information on how this could work with H323.

This worked for me, below example appends the 90 to the incoming calling number and does not replace it.
voice translation-rule 1
rule 1 // /90/
!
voice translation-profile Incoming
translate calling 1
!
dial-peer voice 1 pots
incoming dialed-number .
translation-profile Incoming

hi,
I managed to make it work (prefending 0 in my case) when I put the translation profile in the voice-port. I must say that your post had pointed me to the right direction.
Cheers.
