how to dial a #

I need to modify a called number in a route or translation pattern to send the dtmf tone of # and then pause for 3 sec, any thoughts.

use a comma where you want the pause to happen. 1 comma equals 1 second, 3 commas ,,, 3 seconds.

For example 9,,,222. the router will dial 9 wait 3 seconds then dial 222.

Hello Curt,

do you know how can I use this pause if I'm out of Cisco gateway? I mean, I would like to call an extension behind a PBX from my phone, or to send a fax through voip to an extension. How should my dialed number look like? Which standard may have something about it?

You cannot add a pause on the Callmanager route or translation pattern.

sorry i posted this in the wrong forum, this is on a callmaager, not sure how it got to this forum , i started off in the right one, but thanks any way..
