Ordinary BRI-WIC supports voice

Hi all,

I was wondering if a ordinary BRI-WIC (ISDN-2) which you normally use for dial backup, would support dial out for voice? I am thinking of configuring a C1760 with callmanager so I can dial out to the PSTN using this ISDN-WIC.

Would this be possible or do you need a special VWIC?

Hi,

the WIC cards are designed to handle merely data. VIC ones -> voice.

So, it won't work, sorry.
