overflow question

Hi

Below is AS54xm configuration

If the gateway 172.16.16.120 is down (dial-peer 4403), the call (destination-pattern 441) will overflow to dial-peer 4402 (4401) or dial-peer 4406 (4409).

If I want to force the calls (destination-pattern 441) to dial-peer 4406 and 4409, how to change the configuration?

Re: overflow question

i am glad it working

ok the dot mean any singl digit

so if u dial 441 then it will wait the default inter digit time out which is 15 second then will give u fast busy ton becuae it expect another digit

also with 441. u have several dial-peers

as i mentioned above

it will look at the longist matching u have all of them with 441. then will look at the prefrence number if all the same will look at the dial peer number

so when u made one of ur dial peers like 441 without the dot and u dialed 441 this will be considered the longest natching to the number because it is exactly match the number

Re: overflow question

first dial peers make matching first on the longest matched digites if all the same it goo to the prefrence and then to the dialpeer number

so if u want to match 441 only without dot

do the following

dial-peer voice 6 voip

destination-pattern 441

session target ipv4:218.x.x.x

dial-peer voice 9 voip

prefrence 1

hunt stop

destination-pattern 441

session target ipv4:168.x.x.x

hunt stop will stop looking for identical dial-peers with higer prefrence

so will go to dial-peer 6 then 9 then stop

good luck

Re: overflow question

Hi,

It seems working.

But, what is the differnet between

destination-pattern 441

and

destination-pattern 441.

Why do I remove the dot (.)?

any issue if I put the dot (.)?
