HI-
I need to deploy an application that uses PGM and I've read as much as I can find on PGM and I'm still not exactly sure how to setup my configuration on the network.
Svr -- rtr1(pgm rtr) ---- rtr2(pgm-rtr) ----rtr3(pgm-rtr) --- client
my question is; do I have to configure rtr1&3 to be pgm hosts as well? Also, I've been using a two router test in lab and PIM dense mode works but when I insert a third router running in dense mode PGM stops working, or at least that's what the client says.
HELP!
Thanks,
Drew

i have the same problem now. I even don't understand the benefits of the host feature on cisco routers. Does it enable the router to emulate a host? what's the use of that.?
can i run PGM with no regard at all to the host feature??
about VIF interface in a multi-router network that runs EIGRP, does its ip address belongs to the same subnet as other VIFs in the network? or do i make it /32 subnet and advertize them in eigrp??
please help, i'm completely lost in PGM here. I read cisco documents and part of the RFC.
Thanks in advance;
Mostafa
