Predictible results everytime, but what does it mean?

I have an issue with our CCM system(3640 HDV2t1, CCMDL3204.1.3sr2) where every 7 times out of 23 calls do not have 2 way communication. I can call into the PRI(from outside line) and get the same results everytime 1.NG 2-11.Good, 12-16.NG, 17-20.Good, 21.NG, 22-23.Good.

I repeat this process 3 times(69 calls) and got the same results everytime! Is this a bad card or bad teleco!?

Please reply ASAP

Hi,

you can start with "show voice dsp", have a look at

Hi

could be both. Let the telco check his equipment and try to check yours.

The config is the same for all b-channels? Did you try to reload the router/reseat the card?

Which side is not hearing anything?

Cheers

Re: Predictible results everytime, but what does it mean?

Since this post I have had Teleco replace some of their equipment, they said they had seen some unwanted variances. That didn't seem to do anything, and reload didn't either. I didn't reseat the card.

The oneway audio issue is from behind the PRI to the caller. When issues happens, caller doesn't get ringbacks, phone rings, pickup, We hear caller, but they can't us. Based on the above sequence is how many retries would be required to establish good call.

Tomorrow I will recieve a replacement card and see if reseating the first one will help.

Any other ideas?

Another idea:

what about DSP resources in the router? Are they all working or are there faulty ones? What is the router logging for the oneway calls? What did you change before things went bad? Did it work at all at any time?

Good Luck

How do I determine bad dsp's?

what commands help to highlight logging issues?

It never worked right.
