Stable IOS for 3640

Hi,

I have 3640 router with 12.3(8) T8 IOS.

have configured E1 card for VoIP.

I have problem that when 20 -30 agents get logged in the CPU utilization of router goes beyond 50%.have cleared all debug and accounting command.

Any suggestion on IOS.

or any other solution.

Hi,

the 3640 is not so powerful and the utilization may be normal. If you do "show proc cpu" you will see what is taking cpu.

When i issue the "show proc cpu" it does not show any process that is taking more % utilization.

Max any process such as "IP input" and "AFSapp1" takes not more than 4%.

Then if no process has abnormal CPU you have to live with it or upgrade to a faster router.
