Tandberg - Video Conference Question

Hello -

I was wondering if a Tandberg camera could video conference with a webcam and if so, how? Would there need to be a 3rd party software to connect the two? Here at our foundation to do a lot of video conferencing however the people on the other end don't always have that option so they resort to Skype via webcam. So, in this situation is there a way to connect their webcam to our Tandberg so that 3-6 people aren't trying to huddle around a tiny webcam and we can take advantage of our Tandberg?

Thank you in advance -

Re: Tandberg - Video Conference Question

You're not being vey clear as to what you want to do, "if a Tandberg camera could video conference with a webcam" doesn't make much sense at all.

Do want to connect your TANDBERG videoconferencing end-point to someone using desktop videoconferencing solution which uses a webcam, or do you want to connect a webcam to a TANDBERG system?

Or, do you want to connect using your TANDBERG, to someone who is nornally using Skype?

If so, then get them to install JabberVideo; https://www.ciscojabbervideo.com/home

Re:Tandberg - Video Conference Question

Hi Matt,

I assume what you wish to know is if you can use your tandbrg camera to your desktop application the answer is no.

Is there a way you can intigrate your tandberg unit to be used as the video conf. Device on your desktop/laptop then that will also be a no.

Rest as mentioned by Jens cisco jabber can give you the interconnection between the two
