Hi all-
I am new to VoIP technology and currently working on a study for the business on deploying VoIP. Our business is small and currently is connected to the interent via DSL. We do have some Cisco routers and would like to know what is involved in deploying VoIP for our small office!

You need a router in the branch. As small as an 857 or 877 can do. The difference is that the 857 doesn't support QoS, VLAN and other features, beside that will work fine. The following url will help you:

u can deploy what is called callmanager expers which is a call control based in a cisco router
this CME will be resposible for all call control
like phon numbers assignment, routing calls to PSTN and from PSTN
in ur case if u gonna use it for one office
the only thing u may benifit from is useing ur internet connection with ur router and CME to provide VPN remote access
then by useing cisco ip communicatior which is a software ip phone
u can remotly login to ur office (VPN) and use ur office phone system
