We currently have a wireless meshed network with about 32 IP based cameras. These are not HD cameras and are residing on a 5MB pipe. For some reason, we are constantly dropping frames and we aren't sure why. In addition to dropping frames, we sometimes temporarily lose connection to the video. We are using the http protocol although I heard that RTSP is much better. They are also using a mix of frequencies i.e. 2.4GHZ and 4.9GHZ. If bandwidth isn't the issue, could it be the protocol, the frequency ?
