7206VXR-Logging message:is_rtp_header failed VERS/X

Hi,

we have upgraded to 12.2.16 from 12.2.11.T2 because of stacks and reloads with PC BUS errors.

Now,we have constantly in the logging the above message with no other problem symptoms.

Please check and advise,

This is a bug that is nothing to worry about. It means that header-compression is seeing a packet that is on the expected RTP port range, but it is only a normal UDP packet.

This is fixed in some recent versions of Cisco IOS. You can see the bug in Cisco's Bug Tootkit.

Hi,

Thank you for the info. Do you have a bug ID and if you know when the next IOS will be published?

Another point is that the message is not appear in two other 7200 with similar configuration.
