Hi Guys,

I have a very basic setup, 2 2600s with a an anologe phones on each.

I make a call from R2 to R1 and I see the H.323 setup and the rtp data, just for an example below.

Thing is, I just get a gabled sound when the call is in progress and I dont seem to be able to speak over the connection.

As you can guess, I am very new to this subject

Config below

router 1

!

dial-peer voice 1111 pots

destination-pattern 1111

port 1/0/1

!

dial-peer voice 2222 voip

destination-pattern 2222

session target ipv4:192.168.69.213

!

router 2

!

dial-peer voice 2222 pots

destination-pattern 2222

port 1/0/1

!

dial-peer voice 1111 voip

destination-pattern 1111

session target ipv4:192.168.69.153

!

As you can see, I get the H323 setup and RTP data

Check out this tool on CCO for voice quality troubleshooting -

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/788/voice-qos/symptoms.html

give it a try and compare the samples to what you are hearing. If you find a match, you can use the suggestions to clear up the problem.

From your description I think you have a G729r8 pre-ietf codec problem, but give the tool a go and see what you think.
