AS5350 as a VOIP Gatekeeper

I have Cisco AS5350 with me. Im trying to configure this as a Gatekeeper. But it supports only the "Gateway" command and "Gatekeeper" command is not available. Can anyone tell the reason for this.

Hi,

gatekeeper reuiqres an image with -x- in the filename. then in more recent IOS this may have changed. So depending on which IOS version you want to run, you have to pick a feature set that support gatekeeper, the one you currently have does not.

Please consider 2600 to configure for H.323 gatekeeper instead of as5350.

i have 2600 & 2800 chassis with me. could you please tell me the hardware configuration and the compatible IOS image name to enable gatekeeper functionality.

Cisco offers a Voice over IP gatekeeper called the Multimedia Conference Manager, which is an H.323-compliant program implemented as part of the Cisco IOS software. The Multimedia Conference Manager software can run on Cisco 2500 series, Cisco 2600 series, Cisco 3600 series, and Cisco MC3810 Multiservice Access Concentrators.
