ata186 reset

I have an ATA186 that I legally own the liscense for, but I am locked out of.

Cannot do the FACTRESET or upload a config because I do not know the key for it.

Cisco acknowledges me as the rightful owner, but refuses to support it because the warranty is out on it... :-(

Has anyone been able to reset these things in such a condition?
