Can Catalyst 6500 PSTN interface mod. be backup for AS5400??
I have a Cisco AS5400 which provides connectivity with PSTN through 8 E1 interfaces, and I want to have a backup for it. Cisco Catalyst 6500 has an interface module that has 8 E1/T1 WS-X6608-E1 interfaces on it, which also provides connectivity with PSTN, so , I want to know if someone used this before, and does it support SS7 protocol? If not, what advatages will it bring?
