Cisco 827-4V setup?

I am looking at Cisco 827-4V as a POTS<->IP (H.323/SIP) gateway, although it does much more than just that. Are there any other lower-end Cisco products which can cover this functionality?

If Cisco 827-4V is the one to go with, what are the recommended IOS version I have to use, and any other additional upgrades I have to buy? Is the IOS included in the hardware box or I have to buy it separately?

These are the questions mostly for the sales consultant, but my local distributor guys didn't have a clue of what I was asking for. Any pointers to a good Cisco distributor in Canada will also be very much appreciated.

I think 827-4V is lowest-end of cisco products supporting VoIP. Having said that through the Software Advisor on CCO, i find that VoIP is supported starting from 12.2(2)T on this product.

If you are going to use just Voice, you could choose IP/VOICE or IP/VOICE Plus feature set. If you want to use the VPN features as well, then you could choose IP/FW/VOICE ... feature sets.
