Background:
Router A and B: (Cisco 1751v, slot 1:VIC 2FXS; Slot 2: VIC 2E/M)
Trying to connect A & B through a type V E&M cable with two port 1/0 connected to PSTN phone.
At E/M port, configure same setting as 4 wire Type 5 cable on 2/0 of both router A & B
At FXS port:
(1) configure Router A dial-peer 1 with destination pattern 11111111 on port 1/0, dial-peer 2 with destination pattern 22222222 on port 2/0
(2) configure Router B dial-peer 1 with destination pattern 2222222 on port 1/0, dial-peer 2 with destination pattern 11111111 on port 2/0
After config completed, when dial 2222222 from phone connected with Router A, busy tone received, similiarly, when dial 11111111 from phone connected with Router B, busy tone received
Questions:
(1) Can this config work by dialing the no. through the E&M cable interface?
(2) Any missing config I should add to establish the call normally?
(3) Am I right to use E&M Type 5 cable to connect?
