configuring call forwarding from specific number on voice gateway

Hi everyone,

we are trying to figure out a way to forward incoming fax calls from a specific number to an analog fax connected to a vg224.

History: We have big issues with faxes incoming from one company. To rule out all the options we've already checked the fax server software the settings on our gateway and everything else.

The only thing we need to try now to proof that the issue is not on our side: forward calls from this specific number to another faxnumber.

Is there any chance, any command that is able to do that in the dial peer?

Thank you for your help.

There isn't a specific command.

You can use a voice translation rule in incoming dial-peer and create a new outbound dial-peer for translated number.

Regards.

Thank you for your reply.

As far as the documentation is a little bit difficult I would appreciate it if you can give me an example.

Incoming number is f.e. +3412345678. All calls from this number should be redirected to internal number 321.

Thank you!

Example:

voice translation-rule 3

rule 1 /003412345678/ /321/

voice translation-profile XFER_321

translate called 3

dial-peer voice 3 voip

description XFER_DP

translation-profile incoming XFER_321

destination-pattern 003412345678

modem passthrough nse codec g711alaw

session protocol sipv2

session target ipv4:VG224 IP ADDRESS

session transport udp

incoming called-number 003412345678

dtmf-relay rtp-nte

codec g711alaw

fax rate disable

fax protocol pass-through g711alaw

no vad

Regards.

Ok, I will try this.

Can you tell me if using wildcards is possible?

We receive several calls from different numbers of this company:

+34123456-123, +34123456-122 etc.

Thank you

Sure, wildcards are possible.

/^0034123456/ means all that starts with 0034123456.

Regards.
