i have an E1 connection on my router connected to my bank call center, i have recived a lot of complains from the agents that the calls is repatelly disconnected
and i get the following message from that router
%CONTROLLER-5-UPDOWN: Controller E1 1/0, changed state to down (RAI detected)
i need to know the reason of this message

Clear the counters in the interfaces
#Clear counters
See which errors are increasing
#sh controller e1 1/0
The cause may be circuit problems.
Contact the circuit provider (telco?)

Hi,
Receiving the RAI means (Remote Alarm Indication) and basically hte remote is sending this signal when it has no signal from your side.
You should check the TX path from your CISCO equipment.
