Edge router for VOIP

What router is recommended for VOIP? We currently have a 7206vxr NPE300 connected to a Nextone SBC. However, the 7206 cpu is running at 98% with only 17 DS1's woth of traffic. Do we need to upgrade?

can you clarify ? What voice features are running on the npe300 ? What interface are you using and what is the data traffic on them ?

we are running g711 on the npe300 interfaced with a GigE pa-ge and the traffic is all voip and fax

I forgot to add, that we have a 2gig internet connection coming in to our 3500 and then connects to our 7206 via the pa-ge.

We removed the bridge-group 1 command from our GigE interface and the CPU usage dropped by 50%.
