Help configuring VIC-4FXO-M1 on MRP300

I've had a VIC-4FXO-M1 in my MRP300 for years and am finally getting around to needing it. I've upgraded the IOS to 123-7.XR6, but the IOS is not recognizing the FXO ports when I do "show version". No "voice-port" entries appear in the IOS config. When I type "show diag", the VIC is shown so I don't understand why I don't get "voice-port" entries in IOS. Please help! My only guess, based on scattered doc I've found, is that perhaps I need to purchase a PVDM-4 before I can get this working.

"show diag" output:

You have answered your own question - you need a DSP module to process the voice calls.

The PVDM-4 would only handle 2 ports, so you actually require a PVDM-8 (or 2 PVDM-4 modules) to support the 4 FXO ports.
