inbound voip dialpeer matching difficulty

could anyone help to clarify some voip issues related inbound dialpeet matching...

We have a voice gateway AS5350.

There is a partner's gateway we want to exchange voice traffic with.

We need to apply some number translation rules (translate calling number) before the traffic from our partner can go further. In our case calling and called numbers are unknown.

The question is how I can match inbound calls to this incoming voip dialpeer where this translation applies? Is that possible to match inbound voip dialpeer by ip address?

Thanks in advance,

Re: inbound voip dialpeer matching difficulty

No, it is not possible.

You have to match the calls coming from your partner either by configuring a "fake" ANI (they have to send you a preconfigured the ANI/CLI to you, so you can match/distinguish their calls), or by matching the prefix they are calling (you can agree with them on a particular tech-prefix).

You can authenticate though your partners via Radius by their IP addresses. There is a TCL script that sends the remote IP address as a username to the Radius server.

You can use "voice source group" to authen remote ip add and you can do translation calling, called in VSG configuration also.
