IP Communicator will not use HP Soundcard for ring

I just migrated to a new HP DC7700 PC and installed my IP Communicator Software 2.0.2.0. Everthing works with one exception: I cannot choose the HP Realtek audio source for the ringer. The soundcard works fine and I can choose the realtek HD sound device inside the IP Communicator config screen but the audio tuning wizard will not see it as a choice for the ringer.

Symptom:

Cannot configure high Definition audio devices in Audio Tuning Wizard.

Conditions:

PC with High Definition sound card.

Workaround:

Manually tune audio devices from Volume Control in Windows OS.
