IP Phone strange problem

hi,

My iphone looses its dial tone when i switch off the pc. This is temporary for say about 3 to 4 mins after the pc is switched off. During this time i cannot make calls.

Connectivity:

The ip phone (Cisco 7941) is connected to a linksys switch (SR224G4P).There is a trunk from the linksys switch to the Cisco 2800 series router. It is a router on a stick and the dhcp pools are defined in the router for both voice and data.

I am unable to find where the problem could exist.

Any suggestions??

Most likely in the linksys switch, even if it's a cisco brand they do not do complete testing with cisco voip, basically it's a consumer-grade product that you can't trust for true professional use.

It would not happend with a true cisco switch.
