PPP vs. Ethernet

1.

POTS is totally analog and circuit switched. ISDN is totally digital and packet switched. How about PSTN, digital and packet swtiched???? One difference of them is the speed. from POTS to ISDN, the data rate is faster and faster. right?! Any other difference?

2. the DSP resides in Gateway or in the end devices???

3. And what is the difference of PPP and Ethernet?

Thanks a lot!!!!!!

Re: PPP vs. Ethernet

PSTN provides anolog connections aswell as ISDN connections.DSP resides in the Routing/switching devices which is in the customer premises.
