I want to implement a session border controller, will it work if I use a Cisco 12008 Router? Below are the ff specs. or do I need a separate card for this purpose? And what is the latest version of IOS and feature sets do I need to serve my objectives. Thank you in advance, and your immediate response would much likely appreciated.

Re: Session Border Controller

No, the 12000 does not support SBC nor voice features.

Re: Session Border Controller

Why don't you use the IP-IP gateway?

How many simultaneous calls do you plan to handle?

Re: Session Border Controller

You are talking about the Multiservice blade for the 12000. Refer here for details -

Best thing to do is speak to your Cisco account team to confirm your hardware and software is capable of supporting this new feature.
