strange problem

Dear experts,

we have ip phone users connecting to our soft switche using sip protocol,

in termination side there are either cisco and tenor gateways,

when a user trys to initiate a call, if the call is routed to one of our cisco gateways ,some times the CALLED party does not hear the voice af caller, but his voice can be heared by the other side !

we do not have any problem with tenor gateways ;

all call legs are established via sip protocol and our cisco equipments are 3660 routers.

any suggestions are welcomed

This can happen if there is an access list on 3660 routers. Also look at rx/tx parameters whether it is caused by router with sh call active voice br command. And if one of rx/tx is 0 then check the following page for more troubleshoot.

Hi Deniz,

our problem is somewhat diffrent,in most cases everything is fuctioning properly , but in 10 percent of calls this malfuntion happens;

i have not disabled accesslists on the routers to see if it can help ,if it does i let u know about that ;

Hello,

have you checked your DSP ressources? Maybe there is something wrong. Or you could have a software bug. What is the CPU load on the 3660?

Hi,

system does not seem to have any hardware problem because the issue arises when the traffic is comming from our ipphone clients,and cpu load has never exceeded it's normal level.

the same traffic terminates on the tenor gateways without any problem.
