Hi,

Last time we bought an Unity Express License 100 voice (SCUE-LIC-100CCM) which allow us to create 100 mailbox but currently our office expanding and there will be another 20 users so are we able to buy additional 20? According to our vendor we can't just add addtional license means we have to buy 150 license and remove the 100 license which doesn't make sense to me. Please advice. Thanks.

Hi Tan,

You will need this license as correctly suggested by your Vendor;

150-mailbox package: SCUE-LIC-150CCM=

CUE only looks at the last License that was loaded, so these are not cumulative (You cannot add the 50 mailbox license to the existing 100) :(

Co$t-wise this should be no different as you will receive the credit for the 100 Mailbox License that you had already purchased and should only pay for the new 50!

Here is a doc for the required procedure;

Upgrading or Downgrading the Cisco Unity Express License in the Same Version

This chapter describes the procedures to upgrade or downgrade to a different license size for Cisco Unity Express systems without changing the release version. The procedures in this chapter apply whether you are upgrading to a license with support for more mailboxes, downgrading to a license with support for fewer mailboxes, or changing your Interactive Voice Response (IVR) license.
