Upgrading SIP Firmware on 7940G

Can somebody guide me on how to replace a Cisco Call Manager Firmware to SIP Non-CM for 7940G. I have downloaded an 8.2 version for SIP Non-CM, but there was an error during the uploading of files oin a tftp server. There some files that is needed like XML.cnf.xml CTLSEP<mac> and SEP<mac>. But these files are not included on the downloads. Where should I go from here? Do you have any idea on what is missing? The readme files is not much help.

Hi,

Please see voip-info.org for information about the XML files, and in general using a cisco phone in a non-CM environment. There is a serach box where you can put "cisco 7940", etc.

Note that depending on the FW currently installed on the phone you may or may not be able to upgrade in a single step.
