I am trying to understand the concept/relation of fragmentation and Bc for voice traffic. I understand a Tc value ideal for voice is 10ms. Thus say if we have a CIR = 512kbps then bc can be 5120 and fragment size can be 640bytes
map-class frame-relay ABC
frame-relay cir 512000
frame-relay bc 5120
frame-relay fragment 640
Assuming Tc = 10ms my question are -
1. does the fragment size always be have to the same as Bc ?
- i think no
2. Can the fragment size be smaller that Bc ?
- i think yes
3. Can Bc be smaller than fragment size ?
- not sure
i may be completely wrong. Could somebody please shed some light on this ?
