Hi forum
I have SPA504G connected to ISP's sip server. Using firmware 7.4.8a.
When phone not in use, incoming callers are often hearing the Busy tone.
Phone is correctly registered with sip server, and DND is not being used.
This problem is intermittent, and usually self corrects after a few minutes. (Perhaps re-registration ?)
My sip provider has run a trace on some "incorrect busy" calls, and confirms that the SPA504G is giving the Busy signal.
At same location we have old PAP2T connecting to same sip server, and working flawlessly for years.
So conclude that problem should not be caused by other network issues.
We have enusred that SPA504G and PAP2T are using different port ranges, so no possibility of conflicts.
I'm hoping there might be some simple configuation adjustment (knob or dial) on the SPA504G that needs tweaking to solve this problem.
TIA's for any tips or clues.

Can you enclosed the debug log when this happens and the config of this phone?
For debug setup, https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9862
As far as the config, just using your browser and doing a File/Save As, html file is fine. Just be sure to login to the phone as admin/advanced.

I think the problem has been solved by manually setting the port ranges for the PAP2T and SPA504G so that there's no overlap.
5060/5061 and 5090/5091
Seem all good now.
