Cannot dial out instead dials it to another internal extension

Hi Everyone,

We have a UC540 unit installed. And lately, my client is facing some problem with it. My client would start with dialing the number and then pick up the phone. When client picks up the phone it should start dialing the number but instead they hearing it dialing on the loud speaker in the warehouse and when the numbers are done dialing it just stays on as speaker. Does not connect to the other party.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this problem?

Sounds like the number for the loud speaker is overlapping with some external numbers?

e.g. If the extension for the loud speaker was 300 and some external numbers you dialled were say 300345, then you will dial the loud speak as soon as you dialled the first 3 digits?

The best thing for you to do if this is the case is to change the extension on the loud speaker system.
