Cisco 500 series phone sends 400 bad request response to softwitch
We are attempting to standardize on 500 series phones with our softswitch. They currently range from 504Gs to 525G2s and we are having an issue with all of them issuing a 400 bad request back to the softswitch. When a call is made into the switch, it processes the call and sends a re invite to the phone and makes a port change on the outbound leg. The phone cannot handle this change and responds to the re invite with a 400 bad request message. What happens with the call is that the phone will ring and when the customer picks up, the call is dropped. The ability to handle this re invite is part of the RFC - is it not supported on the phone? (release 7.4.7). Not being able to support this results in basic hosted solution features not working, such as call transfer, call hold, etc., which are part of basic SIP functionality. I spoke to the switch vendor and they claim that this feature must be supported on the 500 series phones or that it might be in the router, which has only PAT enabled. Would appreciate any help.
