Daylight time incorrect

Hello forum

We have some SPA502G and SPA504G phones.

The time details are setup uniformly on ALL our phones, BUT the 504G's show correct time, 502G's show incorrect time.

The incorrect time being dispayed is standard time, ie without daylight saving +1 hour.

(Southern hemisphere.  We finish daylight saving time in 2 weeks.)

I update 502G's to latest firmware, 7.5.4.

Relevant regional settings are :

  Timezone = GMT +10 hrs

  Ignore DHCP time offset = No

  Daylight saving time rule = start=10/1/7/2:0:0;end=4/1/7/3:0:0;save=1

  Daylight saving time enable = Yes

TIA's for any tips or clues to get the time to display correctly, without manully pretending to be in a different timezone.

(Manual adjustment creates an ongoing maintenance problem.)

Seems annoying when 504G's work so nicely.

I have also seen a similar behaviour when one of the NTP Servers failed to respond to the NTP requests. The phone was also displaying UTC+1

Can you confirm that the NTP Requests and responses are correct?

Be aware that Cisco doesn't support redundancy based on the responses from the DNS Server. In order to have redundancy on NTP, you should use Primary_NTP_Server and Secondary_NTP_Server.

After the NTP Server were working again, and the phone restarted, the clock was displaying correctly.

Thanks for tip.  Looks like the ntp server settings had been copied incorrectly.  Will hope the time stays correct after reboot and a few hours to get used to new timezone.
