This whole gigabit ethernet thing has me befuddled...
The UC320W has gigabit ethernet ports, there are ESW-540 gigabit capable switches, but there are no SPA5xx series phones that have gigabit support with a gigabit switch for a PC.
Is there anything on the horizon that we can look forward to?
If there were a higher end SPA5xx phone that supported 10/100/1000, I think many of our clients would jump on that.
As mentioned in another post, running extra CAT 5 cables for just phones is not do-able in many situations, but if we could walk in and replace their switch with a Gigabit ESW-540-xxP, provide them with gigabit to the office jack, gigabit to the phone, gigabit out to their computer, and power over ethernet so no messy power supplies, then we would have some great value.
