I've just started using CCA 2.1 and we are also trying out the hosted Cisco Management Service. I'm trying to get the monitoring service to see the devices on our network. No problem getting the UC520 to be seen but I'm having trouble with our PIX and some other devices. I see on the Add Devices tab in the monitoring portal that you can import devices from CCA. It's looking for an .xml file but I don't know where this file is, or how to generate it. Anyone out there tried this or know if it's usable? Thanks.
Re: Import devices from CCA to Cisco Mgmt. Service
CCA 2.2.1 uses Bonjour discovery to see other devices that use that protocol. Notice the icon in the upper left of the Topology screen (click it).
It will also automativcally inherit devices adjacent to it usng Cisco CDP if you check the "Other Neighbors" Topology Option (4th icon in the upper right of topology screen) In terms of managing devices from CCA, only the SBCS products themselves are manageable (configure and monitor) from within CCA.
