Incoming Call Handling - 2nd Call - SPA50x Phone

I am getting a lot of complaints regarding incoming call handling with the SPA50x phones.  Maybe it is something we are doing wrong.  Maybe it is a bad design.  If you are on a call with someone and another call comes in, you can not do anything with the first call until you pick up the second call and put it on hold then go back to the first call.  It is very inefficient.  They could do a BACD with the second call going to queue but they want a live person to answer the phone.

Does anyone have a workaround for this?

When you have 2 calls on a phone, you can use the arrow keypad to select which call you want to perfom a softkey action to.

So in your case while you are on the phone with a call ringing,  press the up arrow to highlight the original call.  Then you can use your softkeys for the phone call.

I tested this in the lab just to make sure.
