Live Record and CallRex Support for UC540?

I am looking for a definitive answer whether the UC540 supports the Smart App Live Record and the third party app, CallRex. I see Steve has a UC540 Technical Enablement link which mentions these two applications, but has not yet been completed. Everyone else that I've spoken to said that it is not supported.

I have a great lead which would fit the UC540 perfectly, i.e. 6 users, $5K budget, was told the best phone system is made by Cisco...   but, they need to do call recording. I think I can pitch them to hit a softkey to start a recording, so there would possibly be no need for CallRex.

Also, if Live Record is capable, how much storage is available is available for each recording? Also, can the user retrieve that recording and save to a computer, i.e. export the voicemail to a .wav file for training purposes?

This is to confirm that we DO support Live Record and Telrex with UC 540. Where did you hear otherwise?

Live Record messages can be as long as the mailbox allotted time (1 hr by default) and these messages can be extracted from the system as a message notification, for example.

Telrex CallRex solution will offer a lot more features and flexibility. I encourage you to position that instead. More info on:

You can use CCA to configure the LiveRecord feature on UC 540. The recording limit is set by requestor's mailbox capacity. For UC 540, we have 32 hours of voicemail storage. This can be assigned as desired between various users - for guidance on voicemail storage check the UC 540 Platform Reference Guide at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/vcallcon/ps7293/C78-557768-00_540_platform_reference_guide_DS_v2a.html

If this does not work, you can go the CallRex route:

Video conferencing on UC 500 is supported through Cisco Unified Video Advantage (CUVA). You can find some information at the websites below:

I must add that Video support on 79xx IP Phones on UC 540 is enabled by default, You don't need to configure anything on UC 500 to support video. You just need to install CUVA on a workstation/PC/Laptop (follow the doc in the previous post). Also note that SPA 5xx IP Phones don't support video through CUVA.

As others have mentioned here, CallRex does support the UC540. Our software can be set-up for on-demand, triggered, or full-time recording, and the recordings can be exported to .WAV files from the CallRex Client.
