Looking for suggestion for auto attendant script

The client's UC540 is currently configured like this....

Incoming calls go to custom AA script.

Script looks at time of day and if it is during office hours the call gets sent to a Blast group. If no one answers after a few rings then goes to a secondary script.

The client would like to have an option when all staff are unavailable that they can indicate to the AA script that no one is around so go directly to the secondary script.

I was hoping there was some way of setting a variable to indicate staff availability but from what I have read so far it does not look like it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
