Multi-site UC5x0 setup

Two questions regarding multi-site setup-

1. Is there a limit on the number of UC5x0s you can have at different sites?

2. Can you mix UC520, 540 and 560s at different sites and have them work together?

3. Is there a limit of how many SR routers that can connect to each UC5x0?

Thanks!

This question in asnwered in CCA Q&A doc: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/netmgtsw/ps7256/ps7287/prod_qas0900aecd806b8e39.html

Q. Are there any device limits in Cisco Configuration Assistant?
A. Yes, Cisco Configuration Assistant supports up to 30 managed devices in a small business network deployment, including:

• Up to five Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series

• Combination of up to five Cisco 500 Series Secure Routers and Cisco Small Business Pro SA 500 Series Security Appliances

• Up to 10 Cisco Small Business Pro ESW 500 Series Switches

• Up to 10 Cisco Small Business Pro AP 500 Series Wireless Access Points

• There is no restriction on the number of supported endpoints (IP Phones, Video Surveillance Cameras, printers, and so on)

So, to address your questions:

1. Is there a limit on the number of UC5x0s you can have at different sites?

Multisite Manager (MSM) allows configuration for up to five sites. You can have up to 5 UC500s total between all sites.

2. Can you mix UC520, 540 and 560s at different sites and have them work together?

Yes.

3. Is there a limit of how many SR routers that can connect to each UC5x0?

Max of 5 SRs are supported between all sites.

Thanks,

Anna

Thank you!

Is that limit set by CCA or the device itself?

In another words, if I was to use all 520s and using CLIs to configure only, can I go over the limit of 5?

The device limit I mentioned is based on what Small Business Team has defined as the "small business network deployment" and what was tested. CCA does not have a hard limit, but going above what we specified was not tested by the team.

Thanks,

Anna
