Over that 50 ft cable, does a pc get ip address?
If pc works, the phone should be getting ip address as well as the default is DHCP. Does the phone screen get pass "iniitalizing network" and "checking DNS" at all? If passing those, going into the menu, under setup/network, what is shown there?
