SPA 303 Firmware upgrade problem

Hi,

I try to upgrade my SPA 303 firmware from 7.4.7v2 to 7.4.8. I have double click the exe file and follow the step but not luck. I found a document it recommand to use CCA, however it seem CCA does not support UC320. Any other way for suggestion. Please advise.

System: UC320 with version 2.0.6 (10)

Phone set: SPA 303 - 3 Line with firmware 7.4.7v2

                 Hardward version 1.0.0(0001)

Hi Athena,

The SPA phone firmware, UC320W base unit firmware, and the SPA8800 firmware are always sysem tested and bundled together in one single binary. They are never individually released for UC320W application.

By design, the SPA phone and SPA 8800 firmware is automatically downloaded by the UC320W. You will not see any GUI page to manage the SPA phone or SPA8800 firmware. Nor do you even have to worry about your phone and SPA8800 have the appropriate firmware version when used with UC320W. This design approach keeps the UC320W installation and support simple. Thus translate to more profits for the partners.

By the way, there is no difference between 7.4.7v2 and 7.4.8 firmware for UC320W purpose. So I think you must be upgrading just as a practice as oppose to looking for some specific feature or fix.

Thanks for your reply. Since I found SPA 303 will hang (no respone) problem with external directory and one of Cisco engineer suggest to upgrade the firmware to 7.4.8.

Anyway my ticket number is 617338681 and still waiting the soultion.

Resolving your issue correctly and timely is important to us. I apologize for the mis-instruction you have received from our front line support. The reason for that confusion is probably has to do with the SPA phones are versatile and also sold seperately for other call controller application. In those cases, SPA phone firmware are independently managed and upgraded.

Please request this case to be escalated. It will be promptly reviewed by more UC320 specialist (UC320 Support Jedi's). We should be able to get back to you on the status one way or the other quickly.
